                                 Highlights:

Professor Dr. Mohamed Hanafi is the Head of High Criminal Court in Egypt  and visiting professor of Criminal Law in Egyptian and Arab Universities.  He worked for more than eight years as Professor  for many curriculum such as :-

1-   Criminal procedural law.

2-  Criminal Law ( general and private  sections).

3-   Drugs and Narcotics Law in both United Arab Emirates (Sharjah) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh).

4-  International criminal law.

   In  July 13, 2006, Prof. Hanafi was awarded an academic post as "Associate Professor" in Criminal Law from Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities.  He has been invited to participate in many international conferences and seminars in Criminal Law and International Criminal Law, Human Rights and International Criminal Courts.  He also published more than ten books in his field dealing, in whole or in part, with human rights.

     Prof. Dr. Hanafi is the author of more than twenty articles -mainly on Criminal Law - in academic journals.

     Currently, Professor Hanafi is a professor in many universities and academic institutions beside on  his main position.

 

                           Current position:

 President of Appeal Court  in criminal chamber and state security since 1 /7/2007.

                           Previous positions:-    

(1) In 30/6/ 2005, appointed as vice- president of Appeal court.

(2) In 24/6/ 2002, appointed as counselor at the courts of Appeal.

(3) In 11/8/1998, appointed as a Head of Tribunal, category A, at the court.

(4) In 4/11/1995, delegated to work at the kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from 4/11/1995 up to 31/7/1996, as a "legal consultant" of the Imam " Mohamed Bin Saoud" Islamic University in Riyadh, and assistant professor in the higher institute of judiciary at the same university.

(5) In 26/7/1995, appointed as president of Tribunal, class (B) at the court.

(6) In 12/9/1991, appointed as judge at courts of First Instance.

(7) In 6/7/1989 , Delegated to work as a legal counselor at Cairo Regional Center for Commercial International Arbitration, in addition to his main work .

(8) In 25/9/1988, appointed as Substitute of Parquet, Excellent Class.

(9) In 30/6/1986, appointed as Substitute of Parquet.

(10) In 25 /12 /1985, appointed as Public Prosecution Assistant.

                         PAST ACADEMIC POSITIONS:

(1) Assistant professor of Criminal Law at the Police Academy of Sharjah ( U. A. E) in the period of delegation from 26/11/1999 to 30/6/2006 .

(2) Assistant professor in the "higher institute of judiciary" in kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from 4/11/1995 up to 31/7/1996,and "legal consultant" for the same university .

(1)         Teaching in "Sadat academy for administration sciences for the "International law" to the third year students, at 2010/2011.

    (2)  Teaching in faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University from October 2006 till now for the" Political Crimes" in Arabic  language .

     (3) Teaching in faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University from October 2008 till 2010 for the Non-Governmental organizations and civil society ‘ in English .

    (4) Teaching in "Police Academy of sharjah" police Officers’ College from 12/05/1999 up to 30/6/2006 , for the following subjects:

a. The Emirates Criminal Procedures Law.

b. The Emirates Drugs Law.

c. The Emirates Complementary Laws.

The experience in the field of international

Commercial arbitration .

(1)  He was delegated as legal advisor in Cairo regional center for international commercial Arbitration in 1989.

(2) Given many lectures  and practical seminars in Gulf center for studies and training , Dubai, U A E, in April 2003 in the field of " Arbitration in the Emirates legal system.

(3)    Given many lectures  and practical seminars in " Sharjah center for training "U A E ,March , April 2003, in the field of " The arbitration on the administrative contracts.

(4)   Given Writing legal consultation  in the field of arbitration for the ' Horse legal firm", Dubai, UAE.

                   Thesis that he participates in discussion :-

(1)  PhD thesis was presented by Hatef Mohamed Kazen al rerahy ( iraqian) about: "The observance of the law of the supreme Iraqi criminal court for the international criminal law standers" , was presented to " open Arab academy in  Denmark.

(2) Master thesis was presented by Ali Mohamed Ali Alanzy " to faculty of law ,  al-Mansoura  university, about Guarantees of the respect of human rights in the stage of collecting evidence in Kuwait law".
